The sun has been shining this week up here in Whitley Bay (there’s still a nip in the air mind you, but nothing a nice thick jumper doesn’t fix) so we celebrated by throwing a barbecue party for some friends.
George Home are encouraging everyone to get their grills on and have an #OffSeasonBBQ – so they kindly sent me all the ingredients we’d need for our party with a big Asda delivery. We stocked up on Extra Special Chipolatas, Sweet Chilli chicken drumsticks, halloumi cheese and a tonne of veggie sausages. On the side I served up roasted sweet potatoes, a selection of breads and salads. The boys drank elderflower and lemonade, the grown ups started with Pimms and quickly graduated to Asda’s Extra Special Prosecco which we were hugely impressed with.
It was such a fun evening – the kids had a blast running around in the garden while the adults relaxed after a stressful week. It’s amazing how a little dose of sunshine and enjoying some food outside with good friends can totally turn things around.
So now you guys can join in with the BBQ party because i’ve teamed up with George Home to give away this fabulous Uniflame 5 Burner Gas Barbecue Grill worth £199 to one lucky reader.
